August 2011

This was my first summer of three with the Humboldt Experience Researcher fellowship, which requires me (not a burdensome requirement) to be in Berlin for 3-month stints, working with the Computer Graphics group at TU Berlin on multitouch interaction. During my time in Berlin I ended up doing some travel as well. Was Technical Co-Chair of Foundations of Digital Gaming, which was held in Bordeaux, France. Also attended my first Microsoft Faculty Summit in Washington state, where we presented the results of our 3-year grant for the NYU Games for Learning Institute. Got a chance to see Patrick Baudisch's lab at the Hasso Plattner Institute, too, which is well worth a visit.
